Why we hold this tournament! Tyler was a member of the RodBenders Fishing Club. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing on the Mississippi River and that is why we hold this tournament here.
Tyler Magnan - 1985-2006
Tyler Timothy Magnan was born Sept. 10, 1985, in Lewiston, Maine, to Tim and Monique (Roy) Magnan. Tyler moved with his family to the Brainerd area in 1987. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 2004, and worked for Lind Construction. He was very proud of his accomplishments. He lived life to the fullest, enjoying many outdoor activities. Fishing was his passion and he especially enjoyed teaching others to fish. He volunteered at Camp Confidence in the "Fishing Has No Boundaries" program as well as in other programs taking children and disabled individuals fishing. Although his life was short, he made a lasting impression. He will be so greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. (From the Brainerd Daily Dispatch)

1st Annual Group Picture!

On August 18, 2007 we had a wonderful day for this event. We had a little bit of rain, but nothing to worry about. We had 23 boats show up showing a tremendous support for this event. We were able to raise approximately $1300 to be donated to Fishing Has No Boundaries in Memory of Tyler Magnan.
We had the pleasure of having Gander Mountain donate all of the hats that all teams were able to wear for this tournament and we had numerous donations from local companies for raffle tickets and 100% of the money that was made from selling of tickets was also donated. We had numerous companies, S&W Bait, Vacationland, Billy Bones Raceway, TJ's Log Cabin, Reed's Sporting Goods, Grandview Lodge, Brainerd Car Wash, Earnies on Gull, Gull Lake Ice House Rentals, North Central Raceway, Landsburg Nursery, Acorn Nursery, Tastefully Simple (Trish Dosh), and many, many more.
We hope that these venders will be able to contribute again in 2008! Thank you so much!
